About Me.
I have been an attorney in Tulsa since 1998, where I have practiced as a litigator, with an emphasis in employment law, representing employers in all stages of administrative and court actions. My experience includes representation of employers before federal and state trial courts, the Oklahoma Supreme Court, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals the United States Supreme Court, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission matters, Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, and arbitrations. In addition to admission in all federal and state courts in Oklahoma, I am licensed to practice in Arkansas federal and state courts. I frequently advise employers on various issues in handling employee issues, including the drafting of policies and handbooks, review of agreements, and the handling of employee performance issues. I also speak several times a year at both local and national conferences on employment issues, and I am an adjunct professor of Employment Law at OSU-Tulsa. I have been a co-editor and contributing author for the Oklahoma Employment Law Letter and have authored several articles for seminars and programs for employers.
Prior to moving to Oklahoma, I lived and worked in Lincoln, Nebraska from 1996 to 1998, where I clerked for the Honorable Senior District Judge Warren K. Urbom in the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. In that role, I drafted legal opinions and handled litigation matters in a wide variety for the Judge, including constitutional law issues, employment and civil rights litigation, complex litigation, and contract matters. With the Judge, we handled cases in United States District Courts in Chicago, Tampa, Dallas, and Phoenix, where we would travel to try cases on occasion, as well as cases in Nebraska.
